Assessments
Treamtment begins with an assessment of your individual needs. Through an interview with an addictions therapist you can talk about your particular gambling pattern and your individual life concerns. Your therapist will then make recommendations for you. Please call for an appointment. Usually an assessment can be scheduled within a day of request.
Group Therapy
Through group therapy you find you are not alone with your addiction. Others have walked the same journey and are beginning the road to recovery. You will learn from each other. An experienced professional leads each group to provide education and variety of therapeutic approaches that help you understand and come to terms with your addiction. Groups meet twice per week.
Individual Therapy
Sometimes therapy goes beyond addiction therapy to other life problems. Depression or anxiety are often associated with this addiction. Your therapist is qualified to provide individual therapy or to make referrals when appropriate.
Family Therapy
The gambler’s family is often hurt or devastated and family trust is deeply injured. Family members need to deal with the effects gambling has had on them and their relationship to the gambler. Often family can be the most important source of support for the gambler’s recovery. A family member can see the therapist separately to talk about their individual concerns or together with the gambler.
